Het wekte haar interesse in inclusieve communicatie: hoe gebruik je taal op zo\u2019n manier dat je bijdraagt aan een samenleving waarin alle mensen zich thuis voelen? Ze begon een podcast over het onderwerp. Inmiddels zijn er al meer dan tien experts betrokken bij haar bedrijf Studio Samen, dat zich richt op advies en onderzoek rondom inclusie.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3>Kun je iets vertellen over het ontstaan van Studio Samen? Hoe kwam je op het idee om dit bedrijf te beginnen?<\/h3>\n<p>Evita: \u201cToen ik als communicatieadviseur in de zorg werkte, ging ik me verdiepen in de discussie over antiracisme. Het viel me op dat veel communicatieadviseurs op mij leken: jonge, witte vrouwen zonder zichtbare beperkingen. Toen ben ik een podcast over inclusie begonnen, de <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/show\/0XkCfIVEjbSkwjuafdFU79?si=EPEdkVxuQZu1AvjOOhFfRA&amp;nd=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Inclusiecast<\/a>, gewoon uit interesse naar het onderwerp. Die podcast sloeg zo goed aan dat ik er een team omheen kon vormen. Inmiddels zijn er zo\u2019n tien experts aangehaakt bij Studio Samen.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3>Hoe helpen jullie opdrachtgevers met inclusieve communicatie?<\/h3>\n<p>Evita: \u201cWe geven workshops en testen de inclusie van communicatiemiddelen en \u2013campagnes. Voor de gemeente Eindhoven hebben we laatst een uitgebreide nulmeting gedaan op dat gebied. Zo\u2019n test is tweeledig: enerzijds onderzoeken we de inclusie en anderzijds de authenticiteit. Die draait om geloofwaardigheid, want hoe geloofwaardig is het perfecte inclusieve plaatje? Je doelgroep heeft vaak feilloos door of je keuzes met een goede reden maakt, of alleen om een vinkje te kunnen zetten.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3>Wat is volgens jou inclusieve communicatie?<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cInclusieve communicatie is wat mij betreft gewoon effectieve communicatie. Je maakt daarbij bewuste keuzes over wie een rol spelen in je verhaal, wat de verhaallijn is en wie je bij het maken van communicatie betrekt. Sommige bedrijven hebben bijvoorbeeld een klantenpanel met mensen die gratis hun communicatie testen, terwijl hun werk heel waardevol is voor het bedrijf. Is dat dan eerlijk?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3>Op welke vlakken zitten op dit moment de grootste uitdagingen voor inclusief communiceren?<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cEen hindernis springt er voor mij nog steeds uit: de meeste communicatieteams zijn homogeen, met vooral witte, jonge vrouwen zonder beperkingen. Bepaalde kennis kun je alleen verkrijgen door geleefde ervaring en daarom is een divers team waardevol. Dit is wel een uitdaging en kost tijd. Een tweede belangrijk obstakel bij inclusieve communicatie is de angst om het fout te doen. Ik zie veel goedbedoelde initiatieven, waarbij mensen juist te veel nadruk op inclusie leggen. Daardoor is de communicatie niet meer authentiek. Als mensen de kriebels krijgen van je campagne, is die ongeloofwaardig.
