In zijn dagelijkse zoektocht naar de woorden die werken, begrijpelijke taal en een passende tone-of-voice, loopt hij steeds vaker zijn assistent tegen het lijf. Figuurlijk dan, want een lichaam heeft deze assistent niet. Toch ben jij \u2018m waarschijnlijk ook wel eens tegengekomen\u2026 In deze blog bespreekt Jorim namelijk de introductie van artifici\u00eble intelligentie (AI) in de wereld van communicatie. Moeten we vrezen voor ons vak?<\/h6>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_auto\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>&#8220;Op een dag zullen de AI&#8217;s op ons terugkijken zoals wij kijken naar fossiele skeletten in Afrika. Een rechtopstaande aap, levend in stof, met een primitieve taal en gereedschappen, volledig klaar om uit te sterven.&#8221; ~ Ex Machina, 2014<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Poeh, duidelijke taal van het personage van Oscar Isaac, in de film Ex Machina. In deze dystopische sci-fi-thriller uit 2014 (van dezelfde regisseur als de splinternieuwe oorlogsfilm Civil War) maakt Isaac\u2019s personage een wel h\u00e9\u00e9l menselijke vorm van artifici\u00eble intelligentie (A.I.). Dat kan natuurlijk alleen maar fout aflopen\u2026 Toch?<\/p>\n<h2>De mens en de machine<\/h2>\n<p>Populaire cultuurproducten zitten vol met bedreigende creaties van menselijke makelij. Frankenstein, de atoombom en zelfs laboratoriumapen; verhalen waarin de mens zijn eigen ondergang schept doen het al eeuwen goed. Het jarenlang consumeren van huiveringwekkende verhalen zorgt voor een sceptische houding naar slimme technologie\u00ebn, zoals AI. En misschien wel terecht.<\/p>\n<p>Maar persoonlijk verwelkom ik AI van harte. Tot nu toe hebben machines ons werk als communicatieprofessionals niet alleen makkelijker (en leuker) gemaakt, maar ook naar een hoger niveau getild. Denk aan de boekdrukkunst, radio en later computers en het internet. We bereiken meer mensen en beter dan ooit.<\/p>\n<h2>De keuken van AI<\/h2>\n<p>Online communities, sociale mediacampagnes, push-berichten op je smartphone; een wereld vol mogelijkheden, die pas kortgeleden is ontstaan. Stel nou dat je die online communities kunt defini\u00ebren met \u00e9\u00e9n druk op de knop. Voeg een toepasselijke tone-of-voice toe, hapklaar samengevat uit hoogstaande vakliteratuur. Neem een vleugje advies over je doelgroep, zonder grootschalig onderzoek. Laat passages uit je tekst vertalen naar begrijpelijke taal of stress-sensitieve woordkeuzes. Strooi wat creativiteit door je campagnestijl, breng op smaak met een contentplanning. En combineer de resultaten tot een adviesrapport. Alles is mogelijk in de keuken van AI.<\/p>\n<h2>AI en Leene Communicatie<\/h2>\n<p>Precies hierom hebben wij bij Leene Communicatie besloten de komst van AI te omarmen. De bovenstaande voorbeelden zijn voor veel van mijn collega\u2019s niet meer nieuw. Veel van de tekstschrijvers, communicatieadviseurs, woordvoerders en vormgevers sparren dagelijks met AI-tools als ChatGPT, CoPilot en DALL-E. Ook verschijnen er steeds meer integraties in software die we al gebruiken. Via trainingen, (interne) workshops en kennisuitwisseling met andere bureaus binnen de Only-groep ontdekken en leren we steeds meer over hoe deze nieuwe technologie meerwaarde biedt voor ons communicatiewerk.<\/p>\n<h2>En ons werk dan?<\/h2>\n<p>Ik gebruikte eerder bewust het woord \u2018sparren\u2019 om de interactie met AI te duiden. Dat deed ik niet voor niets. Ik geloof dat AI ons kan ondersteunen, niet ontzorgen. De AI-tools zijn ons keukengerei, of de souschef. Maar er is nog altijd een chef-kok nodig om de beste maaltijden te maken.<\/p>\n<p>Ja, misschien dat opdrachtgevers zelf wat meer gaan experimenteren in hun eigen keuken. Maar ook m\u00e9t AI is deskundig advies vereist. Want welke ingredi\u00ebnten heeft de organisatie nodig? Wat vraag je zo\u2019n AI? En hoe weet je of dat wat uit AI rolt, klopt en werkt?<\/p>\n<p>AI staat niet bepaald bekend om de betrouwbaarheid van zijn resultaten. Die kun je het best even door deskundigen laten checken. Maar minstens zo belangrijk: het niveau van de resultaten. Er zijn simpelweg nog altijd vakmensen nodig om de kwaliteit van de in- en output te beoordelen. Die vakmensen, dat zijn wij.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Onze collega Jorim Spiekhout is tekstschrijver.
